Thank you for your comments. I researched for almost eight years and I am so happy that you like my research. What I find so amazing is the fact of what Mariah did after she witnessed this massacre. After the Civil War, she was a servant at the "Beauvoir" house of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Mariah told Davis about the massacre and Davis said that he regretted the institution of slavery and he regretted owning slaves.
